Good morning
I just want to thank your staff for our beautiful meals last night. We had a grab one voucher and drove over from Tauranga, a couple of hiccups meant we were running late but on phoning ahead this was happily accommodated.
Our waitress was absolutely lovely and could not have been more attentive (without ever feeling intrusive). She went out of her way to make sure everything was suited to us.
Then the food itself was beautiful and we were very impressed so thank you for making it such a nice evening and worth the drive.

Hi there,
My partner and I dined at Cullens last night. We were very impressed with the service, food and atmosphere. Often, we struggle to find a good restaurant in Hamilton - Cullens certianly did not dissapoint! We will definitley be back and will be recommending it to friends. Thank you for maintaining such high standards and making our Sunday night a special one.

I'm in a state of mourning having moved from Hamilton.
I was so looking forward to eating at what in my view is one of the best places to eat in the country. I look high and low, but have yet to find someone to match your seared tuna. And, of course, your great staff.
Not quite sure how we ended up in Whangarei on a lifestyle block. (I'm way out in the boonies) But then I guess the only constant is change!

Dined here last week with a group of my colleagues and we are still talking about the fantastic meal!
We enjoyed a platter of seafood for entree, sharing some whitebait, scallops(the ones cooked in tempura were awsome) and squid - all were well cooked and really tasty. For mains we had a few different dishes. The duck was a popular choice - well presented, nice flavour and served with the most amazing potato with (goat?) cheese.The Tuna was the envy of the table - beautifully seared, lots of vegetables and really nicely presented. I had venison salad, a great gluten free option served with lots of local produce and the tastiest little onions Iv'e ever had.
Dessert went down well. I had a strawberry dish served with lemon curd, mint and ice cream - a fantastic concoction of flavours which I would highly recommend. Those that were too full for dessert opted for a truffle with coffee - talk in the office continues about quite how devine these were! We had a really pleasant and relaxing evening. The restaurant was busy but the staff were really helpful without being intrusive. We will most definately be back.

Dear sir/madam,
my partner and I dined at your restaurant last night and would like to thank you for the excellent experience. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were treated as though we were the only customers.
Our waitress was attentive and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and our watress ensured our glasses were never empty and that the food was to our liking.
We have dined at Cullens before and have never been let down in service or quality of the food served.
Please pass our thanks to all of your staff and we look forward to dining with you again.

There was 7 of us and all our meals looked amazing and tasted good. our waitress was lovely, the setting was very nice, the toilets were colourful and clean. i will definatly be back. only complaint was the amount of time between entrees and dessert, but nota huge deal.

I dined for lunch here today with a friend. The first thing that struck me about this restaurant was that the wait staff are older than is typical in Hamilton restaurants – and what a difference their maturity made. The fish options and the special was explained with confidence. Our orders were taken in a timely manner and our food came faster than I expected, especially since I had ordered risotto. The staff were attentive – but not in your face. We had a nice glass of wine. Coffee at the end was delicious – good coffee is important to me. Prices were fair. There were heaps of choices on the menu…more than was necessary really. This restaurant has been around forever and once again it didn’t disappoint.

I had a meal here about 3 weeks ago, what an amazing treat. The starter, main and dessert were all fantastic, i dined early and watched the place fill up quickly, and this was a tuesday night. The service was attentive and helpful on meals that were popular, i had the lamb and it was so good. The next time i’m in Hamilton i will be returning, thanks Cullens

Last night my partner booked a table for the two of us with you at 7.30. I just wanted to say what an amazing dinner we had.
The menu was amazing, and the mains all sounded so gorgeous that it did take me a while to choose. The waitress that served us was very friendly, and extremely patient with me and my non decisiveness (she did mention that she had children, so that probably helped with the patience side of things ). In the end I ordered the eye fillet, and asked for a recommended wine match, I was given two options, the Te Awa and Trinity Hill The Gimblett. The Trinity Hill was an exquisite match. Again with dessert (Tiramisu) I asked for a match, whether it was cocktail or desert wine and had a lovely espressotini , again, perfect pairing.
I wish that I had got the lady’s name who had served us as she was happy and attentive and appeared not to mind me taking my time or asking for the her help with beverage matching.
Anyway, again, thank you so much for an amazing dining experience, we will definitely be back again.

Without a doubt, Cullens is our favourite restaurant in Hamilton. The service is always fantastic and the food is beautiful. See you again on Saturday for brunch! :-)

What a pleasurable experience. Wonderful taste sensations and beautifully presented. The girl who looked after us on the night (Mitch), was amazing, her timing was impeccable, like she knew exactly what we needed and when, absolutely lovely and she always had a big smile.
Thanks you guys! Made my birthday even more special. We will definitely be recommending Cullens to our friends :-)

Amazing, romantic experience. Some of the best food I have ever tasted, salt and pepper shrimp & pork belly, thank you Mr Cullen and staff. You should try the Forest Doctor (or a name similar that I cant quite remember) sav so good!! taking my friends there for a girls nite out next week.

an absolutely wonderful experience right from the start as soon as we walked in, the staff are very friendlyand very custormer focussed. the food was amazing it was the best dining experience I have ever had, the menu has something for everyone and they are happy to customise a dish for you if you want something left out or put on. the combination of the friendly staff, atmosphare and food make this the ultimate dining experience anyone could ever have and it would be a long search to find somewhere better as this is the perfect place to be.
